Linguist Contract Positions
Currently, LLE is recruiting language instructors in the Washington,
DC metropolitan area for the languages listed below. Prerequisites
include having taught the language as a foreign language to adults.
Familiarity with the ILR skill level description and the DLPT is a plus.
LLE is also accepting applications from experienced
linguists interested in working as on-demand telephone
interpreters. Candidates must be able to work from a quiet
home office using a land line telephone and pass specific selection
criteria.
Note that LLE is NOT in need of Spanish interpreters at this time.
All other languages are encouraged to apply.

Criteria for all LLE linguists:
• College-educated native speakers are sought
• Professional certification or accreditation where applicable
• Documented experience required
• Interested in free-lance work
• Must have access to land line telephone
