The LLE Interpreter Skills Assessment provides an evaluation of a candidate's ability
to interpret. LLE evaluates the candidate's vocabulary and the ability to convert
messages from one language to another accurately and completely. Assessments are
available by telephone in more than 20 languages.
Candidates are assessed for the following competencies:
- Delivery of accurate and complete interpretation
- Use of interpretation protocols and best practices
- Language proficiency in English and the other language
- Ability to interpret vocabulary

Flexible Scheduling
LLE provides flexible scheduling to ensure all candidates have an opportunity to
participate. The LLE Assessment and Training team schedules candidates individually
for the assessments which last between 20 and 40 minutes.
Individualized Reporting
Upon completion of the assessment, an individualized report is generated for each
candidate. The report includes a numerical score for each portion of the assessment
as well as a rating reflecting the candidate's ability to perform interpretation:
needs improvement, meets expectation, or exceeds expectation. This powerful tool
helps identify each candidate's strengths and areas that need improvement.
For organizations that are assessing multiple candidates, LLE provides a Summary
Report which details each candidate's performance and includes a summary of the
performance of all candidates. This detailed reporting is critical for making staffing
decisions and provides written documentation that demonstrates your staff's competencies
and your organization's adherence to effective communication standards.
